Javier Ormazabal takes over from the president of Sener, Jorge Sendagorta, who has been in charge of the centre since 2016
The Círculo de Empresarios Vascos, which contains more than 70 presidents, CEOs and managing directors from the main companies in the Basque Country, today appointed Javier Ormazabal Echevarria as its new president. The appointment, approved by the association’s General Meeting, replaces Jorge Sendagorta, president of Sener, who has held the position since 2016.
Similarly, José Galíndez, naval engineer and president of Solarpack, takes over the vice-presidency of the association.
Javier Ormazabal Echevarria was born in 1964; he has a degree in Economics from the University of the Basque Country and postgraduate studies from the London Business School (UK) and IESE Business School. In addition, he was president of the TECNALIA Research & Innovation technology centre. He is currently president of AEFAME, the Basque Country Family Business Association.
